| Very
large Institutes and Provinces (e.g., 1,000 members)
can self-fund their medical bills. They do not need
an insurance company to assume any risk, since they
have enough medical incidents each year to level their
experience from year to year. Expenses do not vary much
on an annual basis, and the only cause of cost increase
will be inflation in the medical industry.
Christian Brothers Services has experience since
1967 in administering the medical payments programs
for Religious Institutes for their members. The Religious
Comprehensive Trust and the Religious Community Deductible
Trust are cooperative programs for many Religious
Institutes. Christian Brothers Services has also administered
a Trust for a single Religious Institute with five
participating Provinces since 1992.
