As an organization that supports Catholic ministry, Christian Brothers Services administers high quality, cost-effective, cooperative programs for Employee Health & Welfare Programs, Religious Medical Programs, Retirement Programs, and Risk Management Programs. More than 2,000 not-for-profit Catholic Religious institutes, diocese and employers participate in these programs.

History
Christian Brothers Services was incorporated in 1985 but originated from services provided by its member, Christian Brothers Major Superiors, going back to programs administered as early as the 1950's for the educational order of the Brothers of the Christian Schools founded by St. John Baptist De La Salle. In the late 1970's early 1980's, it became apparent there was a need to form a service organization able to respond and meet the needs of Catholic Orders requesting administrative and management services. As a nonprofit organization owned by the Church, CBS has grown into a large service organization devoted to this ministry.

Working together is essential to the vitality of the Catholic Church community. Christian Brothers Services offers Plans and Trusts that enable Catholic organizations to pool financial assets and obtain resources that meet their needs. The results are lower costs, broader services, and higher satisfaction for the participating organizations.

Mission without management doesn't last long. By handling the administrative details of benefits and coverages, we free Catholic organizations to focus on their mission and exercise of ministry.
